App and website information
Privacy notice
Flossi is designed to keep renovation information under your control. This notice explains what the iPhone and iPad app handles locally, what the website receives and when information can leave your device.
Last updated 16 July 2026Who is responsible
Flossi is responsible for personal information it receives through this website. Questions, access requests or deletion requests can be sent to george@flossi.co.uk.
Renovation information that remains only inside the app is stored under your control on your device. Flossi cannot view or retrieve that local information.
Information handled by the app
Flossi stores the information you choose to add to a renovation. Depending on how you use the app, that can include:
- project, property and room names;
- tasks, dates, status, blockers, notes, decisions and measurements;
- budgets, costs, receipts, quotes and payment information you record;
- materials, suppliers and contact details you enter;
- photos, documents, warranties and maintenance records; and
- homeowner or trade preferences used to organise the experience.
Flossi does not require a Flossi account to organise this information. The application does not provide shared accounts or a Flossi-hosted project backend.
Local storage and backups
Project information is stored in the app's local data store on your iPhone or iPad. Flossi does not enable CloudKit project sync or upload the project store to its own servers.
Apple device backup or migration services may include app data according to your device and Apple account settings. Those system services are controlled by Apple rather than Flossi. Deleting the app removes its active local container from the device, although a copy may remain in a device backup until that backup is replaced or deleted.
Camera, photos and documents
Flossi asks for camera or photo-library access only when you choose to capture or import a receipt, progress photograph or supporting image. The app receives only the material you choose through the Apple permission and picker interfaces.
Documents and images you add become part of the local project record. If you choose a Share action, Apple's system share sheet passes the selected report or document to the destination you choose. That destination's privacy terms then apply.
Receipt recognition
Receipt text recognition uses Apple Vision on the device. Flossi does not send receipt images or extracted text to a remote AI service. Suggested merchant, date and amount fields remain available for you to review before saving.
App analytics and tracking
The app does not contain advertising, cross-app tracking or a third-party product analytics service. It writes a limited set of non-content product events to Apple's local system log. Those events use categories such as a screen or capture type and deliberately exclude project names, addresses, free text, filenames, merchants, exact amounts and media.
Apple may process device diagnostics according to your device settings and Apple's own privacy terms. Flossi does not sell app or website information.
Information collected by the website
When you send a message through the contact form, it asks for:
- your name and email address;
- the subject of your enquiry;
- the message you choose to send; and
- your confirmation that Flossi may use those details to reply.
The website and its hosting platform may also process ordinary technical request data, such as an IP address, browser information and request time, to deliver and protect the site.
How website information is used
Contact and technical request information is used to:
- receive, route and reply to your message;
- provide product information or support relevant to your enquiry;
- detect misuse and keep the form operating safely.
Consent is the lawful basis for using the details you confirm with the form to read and reply to that message. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying to a message or contacting the address above.
Flossi's legitimate interests in delivering and protecting this public website are the lawful basis for processing limited technical request information. Those interests do not extend to advertising or cross-site tracking.
Website service providers
Contact form submissions are delivered to Flossi through Resend, an email delivery provider. Vercel hosts the website and processes the technical request data needed to serve and protect it. These providers process information for the service they supply.
How long information is kept
Contact information is kept only while it remains useful for answering and managing the enquiry, or until you ask for it to be removed, unless a limited record must be retained to meet a legal obligation. Local app information remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app, subject to any device backups described above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of personal information Flossi holds, and to receive a portable copy. UK residents may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Contact Flossi first if you would like help exercising a right.
Changes to this notice
Material changes, including any introduction of remote project sync or analytics, will be reflected on this page with a new update date. You can also review the website terms.
